    It’s amazing at all the hype recently over big data. The fact is organizations have been taking in large amounts of data for years but with the recent advancements in technology and the need to process information faster than ever, big data poses new challenges. SAS recently announced high-performance analytics to deal with the big data problem. Big data is really an opportunity that can now be tapped into. SAS wrote a nice piece on big data, defining big data, challenges, as well as some free white papers and industry insights.
