Not so long ago, it would have seemed impossible to capture, store or analyze the volume of Big Data we take for granted today. With distributed database technologies and lot of hard work, it is now possible to crunch and analyze a sea of data and to derive patterns, find exceptions and patterns and use that information to make business decisions. The next challenge is to empower business users and applications to harness the benefits of Big Data and give the enterprise and every user, customer, partner, supplier and stakeholder, the tools they need to develop personalized business intelligence reporting and alerts and to view data in a way that makes their job and their lives easier and allows them to contribute to the bottom line of the corporation.
